  • We had the perfect stay at Jill's place, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home is unbelievably beautiful, cozy, and clean. We loved that there was so much history behind the home as well (the basement still has the original fireplace from the tavern from the 1800s!). The home is located on a huge property that includes a stream, gazebo, and a chicken coop, which makes morning walks so fun! Madison is only a short drive away, and there are plenty of great restaurants located in Cross Plains that we checked out as well.

    Jill was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful during check-in/check-out and with any questions that we had. Once we were settled, she stopped by just to say hello and to see if we needed anything. She also kindly shared some of the history behind Haney's Tavern and gave us some recommendations in the area.

  • Our stay at Haney’s Tavern was amazing and exceeded all expectations! It is such a beautiful place and setting! Jill and John warmly greeted us upon our arrival and kindly offered to provide a guided tour which we gladly accepted. Jill shared much of the long history with us, and we were very impressed with the restorations. The house furnishings and décor felt like they were right out of a magazine, with authentic pieces of furniture throughout. All rooms were meticulously clean. We also found it to be very comfortable. By far, this is the best Airbnb location we’ve ever experienced and our family thoroughly enjoyed our time staying there this past weekend!

  • We have been staying at AirBNB's throughout the world for almost 10 years and this was one of the best stays we have ever had. Jill and John were extremely welcoming on our arrival and very helpful with anything we would have needed during our stay. The house was beautiful both inside and out with very nice modern finishes and lots of interesting history. The kitchen had everything needed for meals and numerus welcoming touches. The seating areas and bedrooms were very comfortable. We had our young children with us who loved running around on the acreage and playing in the grass. The front and back patios were awesome places to have coffee in the morning or enjoy the sunset in the evening. The area is gorgeous country and Jill and John keep the property immaculate. Easy access to downtown Madison with a short 15-20min drive and the town of Cross Plains near by with an awesome park. Could not recommend this stay more highly and we were so fortunate to enjoy a few days at their property.

Outside, gather around the crackling firepit, or treat yourself to the ultimate reset in the Kindled Community mobile saunas and cold plunge. And trust us, you won’t want to miss Moonrise Sanctuary’s honey tasting—featuring Italian and Russian bee hives (yes, really!).

Feel the stress melt away during a yoga and sound bath session led by the talented Wellspring Arts and Brenda Hammon with lavender essential oil and eye pillow from Indigo Ridge Lavender Farm to soothe your soul.

For a festive twist, our friends at Tricky Foods and Cherry Bounce Studio will be whipping up a holiday-inspired charcuterie board demo and mocktail magic. And, of course, Haney’s Tavern Flowers will sprinkle their signature charm with dried flowers and herbs all around.

These handcrafted creations blend rustic charm with delicate artistry, capturing the essence of the Holiday Season.
